Located in the tranquil countryside of NH, The Barn at the Greatful Dane Lodge provides a picturesque setting for any special event. Whether it’s a wedding,family reunion,corporate retreat or yoga getaway, our venue offers a perfect blend of charm, rustic elegance and modern amenities.

Our 1863 Post and Beam Barn, first renovated in 1995 and then again in 2024, has been transformed into a magical wedding and event venue that is brimming with features that cater to a variety of events.

Accommodations

There are 2 private Sleeping Rooms with full baths in the Barn that can comfortably sleep 8 guests. There is also a

4 bedroom home with Full Kitchen, Game Room and fire pit that is available for an additional 10 guests. All accommodations offer comfort and privacy and are perfect for visiting guests and for Bridal Parties.

The Blu Bar

Leave all your troubles at the door as you enter into the elegance of the Blu Bar! Here, you will have amazing views of Mt. Sunapee and experience Nature's beautiful canvas that has made our region immortal. Relax and visit with Friends and Family while viewing the mountains and hillside from our glass enclosed “Blu Bar”. Experience the ambiance of the gentle glow of blue and let yourself go.

Our Enhanced Venue

With The latest renovations of our amazing space, our goal was to bridge the past with the present while keeping the integrity of the property’s history. We chose to utilize as many of the natural resources such as the wood and the stone that adorn our property. Among the many improvements added to create a more unforgettable experience for our guests is a cozy area with a stone wall featuring a live-edge wooden mantle, a charming flagstone patio with granite seating, a fire pit area and the addition of “The Blu Bar”. The Barn has also been re-designed to reflect the surrounding nature and all of our tables and benches In “The Grande Hall” have been hand crafted by a local artisan and are all unique works of art.

At The Greatful Dane Lodge, you will find serenity and peace as you stroll through the beautifully manicured grounds and experience nature firsthand. You will catch glimpses of local wildlife such as Wild Turkeys frolicking in the fields, Deer grazing along the tree lines, the majestic Loon in Flight and of Hawks soaring over the valley. Conveniently located 10 minutes from Mount Sunapee and the Lake Sunapee Recreation Area, our 5 Acre property provides “photo-ops” galore with our vibrant colored wildflower fields, apple trees, blueberry bushes and the vast backdrop of forest and mountains, providing a lush and peaceful natural setting.
